Rainfall-volume method

The tool treats rainfall depth as a uniform water layer: volume in m³ = catchment area in m² × rainfall depth in mm ÷ 1,000. It converts that volume to liters, using the equivalence of 1 mm of rain over 1 m² = 1 liter.

Example check: 20 mm of rain over 100 m² is 100 × 20 ÷ 1,000 = 2 m³, or 2,000 liters.
